I am always getting asked, "How should we prepare for our session with you Nikota?" This is especially true around the holidays when everyone wants to make sure they get that perfect family photo! This article that I'm providing a link to, helps to cover everything that I tell my clients. Enjoy!
Sometimes clients want all the photos. When I say all the photos, I mean ALLLLL the photos; unedited ones where people have the eyes closed and are blurry plus the edited ones. This video helps explain why we don't do that.
Recently had a couple of photo sessions. The first one went great and the second one was a little rocky. Over the years I have gotten a lot better with how quickly I can edit a single photo. However, after these two sessions ended it occurred to me that I was about to send myself to the loony bin. Here I am a full time employee at the library, a full time student and I just piled two photo sessions worth of pictures to edit on top of that. YIKES! What was I thinking?! I was thinking, oh it's fall break it will be fiiiiine. Here it is Monday a week later and so not fine. The week's worth of school assignments, my job duties and photos are all looming over my head. Let's hope I don't go crazy before the end of the year ;)
On top of all of this I have technology malfunctions with my website. I was browsing the new themes just to see if I wanted to mix things up a bit. I somehow managed to change the theme while hurriedly trying to click into another window. There was no going back. I got on the chat line with tech support and thought, well I guess I'm changing my theme because I was told it couldn't be changed back. I worked with tech support and we were able to match it up to the closest theme possible. Technology is GREAT....when it actually works.
